Megan & Luke | A Timeless Wedding at Selby Abbey & Saltmarshe Hall
Some weddings have an effortless elegance that never goes out of style, and Megan and Luke's beautiful day was exactly that. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Selby Abbey before celebrating at the elegant Saltmarshe Hall, their wedding combined classic romance with timeless white florals.
Megan carried a bouquet of luxurious Playa Blanca roses, each bloom carefully reflexed by hand to create a soft, sculptural appearance. The result was a modern take on a classic white rose bouquet—full of movement, texture and understated elegance that perfectly complemented the day.
Inside the reception, the tables were dressed with elegant low floral bowls filled with white roses, hydrangeas and delicate gypsophila. Their low profile encouraged conversation while adding a refined, luxurious feel to the room. Together with the ceremony flowers and staircase installation, the designs created a cohesive floral story that carried guests effortlessly from the ceremony through to the evening celebration.
For their ceremony at Selby Abbey, the aisle was framed with natural-style floral meadows, creating a romantic walkway leading to the altar. These meadow arrangements were filled with clouds of gypsophila, elegant white hydrangeas and beautiful white roses, bringing softness to the grandeur of the historic abbey. Matching floral pedestals framed the ceremony beautifully, creating a striking focal point while maintaining the timeless aesthetic Megan and Luke had envisioned.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the stunning Saltmarshe Hall, where the floral styling continued seamlessly. The grand staircase was adorned with flowing arrangements of gypsophila, hydrangeas and roses, creating an unforgettable welcome and the perfect setting for photographs.
Megan and Luke's wedding is a beautiful example of how a refined palette of white flowers can feel both contemporary and timeless. By combining luxurious Playa Blanca roses, romantic gypsophila and classic hydrangeas, every floral detail celebrated elegance in its purest form.
