Jodie & Harry | Goldsborough Hall Romantic Summer Wedding
Jodie and Harry’s beautiful Yorkshire wedding at Goldsborough Hall was filled with romantic white, blush pink and green wedding flowers, designed by River & Rose, a Yorkshire wedding and event florist.
The couple began their day with a ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Goldsborough, where a beautiful broken floral arch framed the entrance to the church. Designed in a soft, romantic palette of white, blush pink and fresh green, the asymmetrical arch featured white Playa Blanca roses, Quicksand roses, white stocks, white and green hydrangeas and trailing amaranthus.
After the ceremony, the broken arch and both pedestal arrangements were carefully moved from St Mary’s Church to Goldsborough Hall, allowing Jodie and Harry to enjoy their wedding flowers again during their reception and wedding breakfast. Repurposing ceremony flowers is a wonderful way to make a wedding flower budget work harder while creating a cohesive floral design throughout the day.
The floral styling continued throughout the bridal party, with a romantic bridal bouquet, coordinating buttonholes, flowers for four adult bridesmaids and two flower girls. The flowers were designed to feel natural, elegant and abundant, with the soft blush tones adding warmth against the classic white blooms and lush green.
Inside St Mary’s Church, two floral pedestal arrangements complemented the broken arch and created beautiful focal points around the ceremony. One of the most important considerations when designing the wedding flowers was making sure the arrangements could be repurposed throughout the day.
At Goldsborough Hall, the wedding breakfast tables were styled with a relaxed and romantic combination of rose-filled bud vases, candles and soft cheesecloth napkins. The delicate flowers and candlelight created an intimate tablescape that complemented the elegant surroundings of the Hall without overwhelming them.
As a Yorkshire wedding florist specialising in weddings and events, I love creating floral designs that are personal to each couple and their venue, while also considering how flowers can be moved and repurposed throughout the wedding day.
The combination of classic white roses, romantic Quicksand roses, hydrangeas and trailing amaranthus worked beautifully for Jodie and Harry’s wedding, bringing together the traditional setting of St Mary’s Church with the elegant surroundings of Goldsborough Hall in North Yorkshire.
If you're planning your wedding at Goldsborough Hall or another Yorkshire venue, we'd love to help bring your floral vision to life with bespoke designs created just for you.
